The Festival Players - The Comedy of Errors

Event starts: 29 August 2014

FP03Friday 29 August 2014

The Comedy of Errors is Shakespeare’s shortest comedy focusing on two sets of accidentally separated identical twins and awash with puns and slapstick.

Of the play, Director Michael Dyer says: “It is a brilliant farce of mistaken identities with a few darker undertones and we will perform it very much as a colourful, entertaining romp.”

It tells of a master and his servant arriving in a foreign port which, unbeknown to them, is the home of their long-lost twin brothers. Mayhem ensues in a riotous train of mistaken identity, seduction and pursuit.

Please note that this is an outdoor performance. The Players are used to performing outside, whatever the weather so if you plan to come to this performance, please come prepared for any weather - rain or shine, warm or cold - and dress accordingly!

Tickets, £15 each, are now available at the Mansion shop on open days, or by calling the Mansion office (01453-861541) during normal office hours.

Tickets also available online at www.thefestivalplayers.org.uk
