Visit Brewery and Servants Quarters

Event starts: 30 September 2017
Event ends: 01 October 2017

The Brewery and Servants' Quarters are open to the public

30 September and 1 October

breweryThis is a chance to see parts of the Mansion that are not normally open to the public.

Throughout the rest of the open season, we cannot open the Brewery to the public as it is the home of the Mansion's Greater and Lesser Horseshoe bat colonies. However, the bats leave the Mansion for their winter himbernation during September and, so, we take this opportunity to open the Brewery and the Servants' Quarters to our visitors.

Find out why the Mansion was to have its own brewery, and learn about the brewing process with our specialised tour guides - and, also, see where the Leigh family servants would have lived.

The Brewery and Servants' Quarters will only be open on Saturday 30 September and on Sunday 1 2017.

The Mansion will be open from 11.00am until 5.00pm (last admission 4.00pm) on both 20 September and 1 October 2017. Normal admission charges apply and there is no additional charge for the tour of the Brewery and Servants' Quarters - but please note that children under 12 years will not be allowed on the tours.
