Would you like to Volunteer at Woodchester Mansion?
If you would you like to find out what’s involved and what we can offer you, then come along to one of the recruitments meetings that we are holding during February.
We will be at the following venues:
15th February: Stroud Sub Rooms between 7pm and 8.30pm
21st February: Dursley Community Centre between 2pm and 4pm
27th February: Arkell Community Centre, Nailsworth between 7pm and 8.30pm

This season, the Mansion will be open to the public on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. In addition, the Mansion is visited each season by groups of people both from educational organisations and from the general public, and the Mansion is available for hire for weddings and other private functions.
We need volunteers to help with all of these activities and we can offer you a variety of things to do. On Open Days you could be helping with catering in the Butlers’ Pantry Tea Room, welcoming visitors in the Shop, driving visitors to and from the Mansion in our minibuses or taking guided tours of the Mansion. For group visits and for private functions, we often need drivers, guides and stewards.
If, on the other hand, you would prefer to work ‘behind the scenes’ then we have regular working parties doing (non-conservation) maintenance on the building and in the surrounding grounds.
If you have visited the Mansion then you will already know of its unique charms, but if you haven’t been there yet why not take this chance to find out more of what we have to offer? We will give you full training for what you choose to do, and you can help for as little or as much time as you wish to give.
