Workshops held at Woodchester Mansion

stained glass 1On 19 May a workshop introducing the basic techniques of stained glass making was led by Ruth Adams. Sandie Clarke writes:

Course members arrived to find a large collection of strange tools ready and waiting and boxes of multi hued and textured glass awaiting selection. The excellent tutor Ruth soon made it clear what we had to do and we started to think about our projects. By lunchtime we had all cut out our glass to fit the pattern ( nearly) the grinder made it easy to achieve a stained glass 2close fit. By the end of the day we had all completed our projects and were proud to take home a real piece of original stained glass.
