The Friends of Woodchester Mansion Trust
Woodchester Mansion Trust was founded as a charity in 1989 by a group of professional people supported by the local community. It uniquely combines conservation, traditional building training and tourism. Using trainee craftsmen wherever possible, the Trust will repair the Mansion to a safe condition, but never finish the building.
The Trust holds a long lease on the Mansion from Stroud District Council (the owners of the Grade 1 listed building) and its aims are recognised by English Heritage and English Nature.
The Trust also aims to improve professional and public understanding of traditional building techniques and relevant aspects of conservation. With this in mind, it provides a range of training courses in conjunction with other educational establishments.
If you would like to help to support the work of Woodchester Mansion Trust - and to learn more about this unique building - please consider becoming a Friend of the Trust.
Costs and benefits are listed to the right of this page - but if you would like more information please contact the Membership Secretary, Margaret Pinnington, via the Mansion office.
