Green Man Day

Monday 6 May

On Green Man Day:both

The Woodchester Green Men will be ensconced in the chapel ceiling, keeping four beady eyes on our visitors...

For adults there will be an exhibition giving insight into the mystique of the Green Man with examples from over Europe.

For children and adults there will be a Treasure Hunt, enabling the whole family to discover the Mansion and the Green Men ...

... children can vote for their favourite green man in the exhibition, take part in a green man colouring competition (guess what colour!) and make a green man mask to take home.

The Mansion will be open from 11.00am until 5.00pm, with last admission at 4.00.

Guided tours will be run during the day, the Butler's Pantry Tea Room will be open for tea, coffee and cakes and the minibus will run from the Mansion's car park.

Normal admission prices apply - Adults £6.50, Concessions £5.50, children under 14 free, unless taking part in the Treasure Hunt.

Children must be accompanied by an adult when in the Mansion and there will be a charge of £1.50 for each child taking part in the Treasure Hunt (and any adults accompanying children on the Treasure Hunt must pay the normal admission charge).
