Woodchester Mansion hosted its annual Fund-raising Halloween Party on Saturday 27 October 2012.
Outside, the evening was best described as 'chilly' but inside the Mansion the atmosphere was warm and a good time was had by all. In addition to the, now traditional, disco, bar and food, tours of the Mansion were on offer this year. These tours took on a spooky nature as Woodchester Mansion Volunteer tour guide, Susan Bingham, and Paranormal Investigator Chris Howley led their parties by tourchlight into the dark parts of the Mansion, where they told ghostly stories about the house. Fortunately, all who went on tours returned and were none the worse for their experience. In fact, a great many of them actually seemed to enjoy the experience.
The standard of fancy dress was very high and the three prize-winners (shown below) were thrilled to be chosen. Congratulations to Kara and Paul and to Kieran for their wonderful costumes.
We have identified the first-prize winners as Kara and Paul, and Kieran as third-prize winner but we don't know the identity of the second-prize winners - so, if you would like to identify yourself then please use the Contact page of the web site to let us know who you are. Many guests are shown in our picture gallery but only you will know who you are.
Grateful thanks to Susan Bingham, Chris Howley, Ceri Buckenham, Chris Marks and Marcus Gill for all their hard work in ensuring the success of the party on the night, and thanks to WMT Manager Hannah McCanlis for her work in organising the event.
The bar was provided by The Prince Albert and the disco by Bonehead Productions. Niangs Thai Snacks provided the food.
We look forward to welcoming you to next year's Halloween Party, which will take place on Saturday 2 November. Please book the date now, and watch our web site for details of when the tickets will be on sale.
