New Season - New Open Day

Following the success of opening on Wednesdays last season, the Trust is pleased to announce that the Mansion will be open to the public on an additional day this year.

From 1 April until 28 October, the Mansion will be open to the public on Thursdays as well as on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, as last year. On each open day the Mansion will be open from 11.00am to 5.00pm with last admission at 4.00pm.

On Sundays and Bank Holidays, visitors will be able to use the Mansion car park and the minibus will run between the car park and the Mansion. There will be table service in the Butler’s Pantry Tea Room and guided tours will be available as advertised on the day.

On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, visitors should park in the National Trust car park (normal parking charges will apply) and should walk to and from the Mansion, as the minibus service will not be available. Refreshments will be available in the Mansion shop and visitors will be able to take a self-guided tour of the building.

Please note that on some Saturdays the Mansion will be closed to the public because of a private function. If you intend to visit on a Saturday please call the Mansion office (01453-861541 - office hours only) or check the Mansion website (www.woodchestermansion.org.uk) to make sure that the Mansion is open on the day that you plan to visit.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Mansion during 2012. If you haven't been before then come along and enjoy the experience made possible by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Even if you have been before, you will still see changes as work has been going on during the close season.
