New Year's Day 2018

Fire in Drawing RoomWe had a great start to 2018 with 118 visitors to the Mansion. About 60 people went on guided tours with Maureen and Dennis, and everyone had a chance to warm up by the massive log fire in the drawing room and enjoy hot drinks.

Thank-you to all who came, to the volunteers on duty and also to Kate and Mark at Radio Gloucester for publicising the day.

The Mansion is now closed to the public until Good Friday, 30 March 2018, when we will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and Bank Holiday Mondays until 28 October. We look forward to welcoming you during the coming season, when the Cafe, run by Berry Blue Ltd, our catering partner will be open on each day that the Mansion is open to the public. Please check this web site to see what is happening on the day that you plan to visit.

If you would like to hire the Mansion for a private function, or would like to arrange a private visit to the Mansion for a group that you belong to, please contact us at info@woodchestermansion.org.uk or call us on 01453 861541.

We are also available to give a talk to your group or organisation so, again, please contact us at info@woodchestermansion.org.uk or call on 01453 861541.

Last but not least by any means, if you would like to join our enthusiastic team of volunteers and, so, help us to show off the Mansion to the public on open days, or to help in some other way, then please, again, contact us at info@woodchestermansion.org.uk or on 01453-861541.

We are looking for people to help on open days with ticket sales, guided tours, minibus driving and with supporting Berry Blue's catering by serving in the cafe. Aside from open days, there are opportunities to help with non-heritage maintenance of the Mansion and grounds and we have an energetic team of volunteers who work at the Mansion on Mondays under the leadership of our Site Services Manager. Finaly, volunteers provide help at private functions and with private tours which can take place on any day of the week, both in and out of season. We look forward to hearing from you.
