New Year's Day 2018 Woodchester Mansion Open

Monday 1 January 2018

11.00am to 4.00pm (last admission 3.00)

By popular request, Woodchester Mansion will be open, once again, on New Year's day.

We missed a year, you missed us, so our Volunteers will, once again, be welcoming you to the Mansion on New Year's Day.

This is an opportunity to see the work that has been done since the end of the season. We have slimmed-down the scaffolding in the Chapel and the platform has been removed so you can see the lovely tierceron vault.

It's also an opportunity to enjoy a Bank Holiday walk in the beautiful Woodchester Park.

We will be running the minibus from the foot of the steps from the National Trust car park from 11.00am. This is an hourly service which will leave the steps on the hour from 11.00am until 3.00pm. The return journey leaves the Mansion at 45 minutes past the hour until 3.45pm.

There will be guided tours at 11.30am and 2.30pm and we will be serving tea, coffee and flapjack in front of a roaring log fire in the Dining Room, for visitors to the Mansion.

Please note that the Servants' Hall cafe will not be open, because of the shortage of Volunteers. This means that we are unable to serve refreshments to members of the public not paying the admission charge to the Mansion.
