Woodchester Mansion open on New Year's Day 2016

WMT NYDWoodchester Mansion Volunteers look forward to welcoming you to the Mansion on New Year's Day.

This is the day when, traditionally, we invite you to enjoy a walk in Woodchester Park and to visit the Mansion, where you will be able to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the Drawing Room in front of a cosy log fire.

There will be guided tours of the Mansion, and the minibus will run between the Mansion and the foot of the steps from the National Trust car park.

The Mansion will be open from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm with last admission at 3.00 pm.

The minibus will leave the foot of the steps from the National Trust car park hourly on the hour, starting at 11.00, The last bus down will leave the steps at 3.00. The bus leaves the Mansion to take visitors to the car park at 15 minutes to the hour, starting at 11.45 am.

Admission: £7.50, Concessions £6.50, Children under 14 free but must be accompanied by an adult while in the Mansion.

Note that we reserve the right not to open the Mansion in the case of adverse weather. We will do our best to open the Mansion but we have a duty to ensure the safety both of visitors and volunteers and if there is significant ice or snow we will not open. Please check this web site on the day before you set out to avoid disappointmen and an unnecessary journey.

Please note, also, that on this open day the Servants' Hall tea room will not be open - our Catering Manger, Jo, is taking a well-earned rest.
