Woodchester Mansion Open Day

On Wednsdays, the Mansion will be open to the public from 10.00am to 4.00pm, and at Weekends and on Bank Holidays the Mansion will be open to the public from 11.00 to 5.00 with the last admission at 4.00. There is an admission charge on all days that the Mansion is open to the public.

Note that Woodchester Mansion is not a National Trust property though National Trust members are admitted at a concessionary price on production of their membership card.

At Weekends and on Bank Holidays guided tours are available as advertised in the Mansion on the day, though visitors may walk around the Mansion on their own. We are able to provide a self-guide sheet, which identifies the main features of the Mansion, and a floor plan of the building. Guided tours will not be available on Wednesdays - but self-guide sheets are available to take visitors around the Mansion.

Please note that the Mansion is an unfinished building and that the floors are uneven and are unsuitable for those wearing high heels and those who have walking difficulties. Please note, also, that even on the warmest of days the Mansion can appear relatively cool inside so please come prepared. There are no lifts in the building but, with care, the ground floor of the Mansion is accessible to those in wheelchairs.

Toilets are available at the Mansion.

At Weekends and on Bank Holidays, a minibus service will run from the Mansion's car park to the Mansion, though many visitors choose to walk at least one way to enjoy the splendid scenery of the Woodchester Park. Special parking arrangements for 6 August 2011

On Wednesdays the minibus does not run. Visitors should park in the National Trust car park (normal NT parking charges apply) and walk to the Mansion (a little over half a mile each way from the NT car park to the Mansion).
