Hamlet comes to Woodchester Mansion

In celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, The Festival Players Theatre Company is proud to present the Bard’s most famous play, Hamlet. Presented in full costume, an all-male company will bring you the excitement of this great thriller; intrigue, ghostly visitations, passion, a play-within-a play, a gripping duel, and humour, in a crystal-clear and fast-paced 2-Hour production.

We look forward to the return of the Festival Players after last year's delightful performance of As you like it. As with other performances by the Festival Players, Hamlet will be performed in the picturesque setting of Woodchester Park. It will be an outdoor performance and you will be able to bring a picnic to enjoy before the performance.

Tickets for this performance are £15 each and may be purchased online at www.thefestivalplayers.co.uk or from the reception desk of Woodchester Mansion on open days.

For all enquiries please call the Mansion office: 01453 861541.

On the evening of the performance, gates will be open for picnics from 5.30pm with the performance start at 6.30pm.

Please note that this is an outdoor performance, which will take place whatever the weather. Please bring your own chairs, rugs and cushions and come prepared for any weather.

Please park in the National Trust car park and either walk the two-thirds of a mile down the track (turn right at the foot of the steps from the car park) or ride our minibus, which will run from 5.30pm.
