Luna the Lab is Mansion's Latest Volunteer

LunaLabrador Luna is the latest keen volunteer at the Cotswold jewel that is Woodchester Mansion.

Rescue dog Luna, aged three and a half, loves her time spent with owners Chris and Ginny Beswick when they help out at the amazing, unfinished, Victorian Gothic building near Stroud.

Retired teachers Chris and Ginny, from Nailsworth, really appreciate the flexible volunteering available to them at the charity run Mansion - which even allows Luna along.

“You can offer whatever time you can commit,” said Chris, who drives visitors to and from the Mansion in its minibus.

His wife also volunteers there. Her role is assisting in the Servants' Hall kitchen and café.

But all that is after Luna has enjoyed her walk through the stunning National Trust parkland that surrounds the Mansion and, of course, her regular swim in the park’s beautiful lakes.

Woodchester Mansion was abandoned incomplete by its Victorian makers, leaving modern day visitors with a remarkable window to the past.
