NDP Circus

Sat 31st July:

NDP Circus Productions, in partnership with the Stroud-based School of Larks and the Woodchester Mansion Trust, are holding a two-week intensive circus course at the Mansion during July. Based on Victor Hugo's famous novel, Notre Dame de Paris, and inspired by the Neo-gothic Mansion, participants will develop their skills in theatre, music, circus and dance workshops.

This exciting and adventurous course culminates in a workshop performance on Saturday 31st July. This is open to the public, creating a very special open day.

Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of performance and Victor Hugo’s enduring tale in the stunning landscape and architecture of Woodchester Mansion.

The Neo-gothic style Mansion mirrors the cathedral of Victor Hugo's great book, its gargoyles inspired by the eminent architectural restorer of Notre Dame, Eugene Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc.

YOU will be able to step into the fantastic gothic world of the Court of Miracles, experience screaming gargoyles, dancing Esmeralda’s and the mayhem of Victor Hugo’s 15th century Paris as you wander around the Mansion.

There will be three shows, at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.

Each show lasts an hour and will take place throughout the Mansion.

Come and join us - you will be able to explore the house and enjoy the circus performances!

The event is taking place in partnership with the Woodchester Mansion Trust, School of Larks, Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees, Gloucester Association for Refugees and Asylum Seekers and the Nelson Trust.

Note: The Mansion is only open for the circus performance on 31st July.
