Brewery Weekend

Sat 2nd & Sun 3rd October

Essential repairs to the brewery gable were completed in 2020 so this year we're able to open both the Mansion Brewery and the Servants' Quarters to the public.

It's a once-in-a-year chance to see the unique Brewery, as it's the preserve of the bats during the spring and summer months so public access cannot be permitted.

Our volunteer guides will conduct small groups of up to 10 people (minimum age 12 years). We'll explain why the completed Mansion would have incorporated an in-house brewery and show you the two floors of this vital part of the house.

We'll then lead you deeper into the North Range and up into the Servants' Quarters, the one part of the house that was substantially completed and lived in for a time, pointing out several intriguing features as well as the evidence of more recent occupation (not necessarily of the spooky kind!).

These extra tours enable you to see areas of the building that are an essential part of the history and mystery of the Woodchester Mansion story, and are included in the normal admission charge. No booking needed. Make a point of visiting on 2nd - 3rd Oct!

Please note that the stairs to this part of the building are steep and narrow with no handrails.
