By becoming a member, you will provide much-needed funds to help conserve the unique Gothic Revival building.

The Mansion is an amazing example of Victorian construction techniques.

It has particularly fine quality stone carving.

The building is largely unchanged since work stopped about 1870.

The Mansion is the finest work of the young local architect Benjamin Bucknall, and is one of few buildings in the UK to reflect the ideas of the famous French architect Viollet-le-Duc.

It is a house like no other - an exceptional local building of national importance.
